Success, as so many other subjects in life, is a very personal one, therefore defined differently from individual to individual. In many peoples opinion success generally equals, or at least is closely connected to commercial or financial success. Which I, for myself, can relate to as well, only to a certain extent, though. Living in New York City, one of the commercial capitals of the world, only too often makes one forget, that there is more to life then a big paycheck being deposited into a well padded bank account.
Reflecting on my very own goals (near and far future) in the process of building and expanding my studio, I realized over the past couple of weeks, how much I neglected my needs for a more balanced lifestyle. Sure, a young business, pretty much like a newborn baby, needs a lot of love and attention! But it also needs a sane parent (if I might say so), to actually take care of baby business the right way! Therefore I am making sure to more and more incorporate fixed time slots for leisure time into my daily work schedule, to balance (seemingly never ending) work with play! As a result success for me at the moment means being able to create time to kick back, relax, enjoy the sunset, and acknowledge that things are good (and of course being able to afford doing so)!
