Top 10 Bisexual Celebrities

With all the excitement over the Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell repeal, some may have forgotten that September 23 is Celebrate Bisexuality Day – for which Hallmark has yet to create a card. In honor of the often-overlooked B’s in the LGBT community, here are the top ten celebrities who’ve publicly declared their bisexuality. (Not surprisingly, all of them are women.)

1. True Blood star Anna Paquin proudly announced her bisexuality in her Give a Damn campaign video. “I’m Anna Paquin. I’m bisexual and I give a damn,” she declared, to benefit the True Colors Fund, which seeks equal rights for gay, straight, bisexual or transgendered people.

2. Actress Evan Rachel Wood came clean to Esquire about her love for the ladies. “I’m up for anything: meet a nice guy, meet a nice girl… I’m more kind of like the guy when it comes to girls. I’m the dominant one; I’m opening the doors, I’m buying dinner. Yeah, I’m romantic.”

3. Lady Gaga may have been born this way, but she claims that her lady loving scares off her boyfriends, “The fact that I’m into women, they’re all intimidated by it. It makes them uncomfortable. They’re like, ‘I don’t need to have a threesome. I’m happy with just you.’”

4. The late chanteuse Amy Winehouse made no bones about her bisexuality. “So what? I like girls as well. I have had relationships with other women but that doesn’t mean I don’t still love [my man.]There is something about being with a woman that is very satisfying. I don’t care what people think about me being bi—I do what feels good.”

5. Drew Barrymore once said, “I have always considered myself bisexual. I think a woman and a woman together are beautiful, just as a man and a woman together are beautiful. When I was younger I used to go out with a lot of women,” but added, “I don’t think I could ever just solely be with a woman…It’s just not enough for me.”

6. Megan Mullally is just as free spirited as her Will & Grace alter ego Karen Walker. In 1999 she said, “I consider myself bisexual, and my philosophy is, everyone innately is. I’ve never had a full-on relationship with a woman, just a couple of what I’d term half-assed dalliances, so I haven’t explored it to the degree that I’d like to, but I’ll tell you, I’m open to it.”

7. Comedian Margaret Cho considers herself to be “trisexual,” saying, “I am probably more connected to or attracted to transgender people. So, I would be more than bi. To say bisexual is saying that there’s only two kinds of gender. I really like transgenders. But, when I say that, then people think it’s a joke… I would say bisexuality would be a limiting term.”

8. Sopranos actress Drea de Matteo admits to the occasional girl-on-girl action, “I love men and they’re who I go out with, but every now and then… well, I can’t say I’ve never been with a woman.”

9. Reality TV star Tila Tequila has made a career out of being bi, claiming, “I love Christina Ricci. She’s really hot and I think she looks kind of odd like me…I fell in love with her when I saw Black Snake Moon. She was naked in that one. I kind of drooled over her naked scenes…”

10. Adult film star Jenna Jameson has said that off-camera she’s slept with 100 women and 30 men and, “I’m definitely bisexual and I love girls.” In fact, Jameson said the man sex was harder, “Girl-on-girl was easy and natural. Then they offered me lots of money to do boy-girl. At the time, I was mostly gay.”
