Marc Jacobs plans launch of “Dot”

Due out in August, Marc Jacobs will be launching a new scent with fragrance licensee, Coty Prestige. Called “Marc Jacobs Dot,” the smell is intended to be “a new pillar in the designer’s lineup.” 

 

Pillar it may be, but “Dot” is sure to become dot429’s new favorite fragrance regardless for the name alone. 

 

Dot will include top notes of red berries, dragon fruit, and honeysuckle; a heart of jasmine, orange blossom and coconut water; and a dry down of vanilla, musk, and driftwood. The line will join the designer’s other bestselling scents, Daisy and Lola. 

 

People are buzzing about who Jacobs will choose as the face of the campaign. Past ads have garnered a great deal of controversy and attention, such as the ad for Oh, Lola! featuring teen star Dakota Fanning. The ad was so provocative, it was banned by the British Advertising Standards Authority.
