Janet Jackson’s latest endeavor in the entertainment industry is probably not what you would think. Miss Jackson – with the help of director Robert Jason – will be tackling the subject of transgender people in an upcoming documentary, due out late nex year.
Jackson says she wants to “stop the hate and find understanding” in the documentary, which is titled “Truth.” In “Truth,” Jason and Jackson will be taking on real life transgender stories from numerous parts of the globe and bringing them together as a sort of collage in honor of the experience of being transgender.
“I’ve been fortunate to make friends and learn about very different lives,” says Jackson. “Truth is our small chance to ask that you try and understand someone who lives their life in a way that is a little bit different from yours, even though all of our hearts are the same.”
