Bill O’Reilly comes clean, says gay not linked to pedophilia

Fox News television host Bill O’Reilly has publicly stated that being gay has no relation to pedophilia, after a caller pressed him to make clear his position on homosexuality and pedophilia.

“I have to report the truth here. First truism, homosexuality has nothing to do with the crime of pedophilia,” he said.

“Second, everyone we report on is defined and that guy is proud of his circumstance and promotes it, so we reported it,” O’Reilly added.

O’Reilly was referring to Colorado House Speaker Mark Ferrandino, who the host has been attacking over his sexuality and his opposition to “Jessica’s Law.”

ThinkProgress reported that O’Reilly was using the term “gay” as a replacement for “child molester” and demanded the talk show host apologize for his statements.

O’Reilly, in attacking Ferrandino, argued that the Speaker’s sexual orientation is important because “people don’t know him” and why he is opposing “Jessica’s Law.”

According to ThinkProgress, “Jessica’s Laws impose excessive mandatory sentences for child sexual abuse, but Colorado already has tough laws and neither the law enforcement community nor victims’ advocate groups support the proposed change.”

O’Reilly has even asserted that Ferrandino was protecting somebody “because he was gay.”

Ironically, the campaign of antagonism towards Ferrandino continues on the same day that the House passed a civil unions measure for LGBT couples. The governor’s office has already told 429Magazine that they will sign the bill into law.
