England ‘gay killer’ arrested after manhunt

Police in England believe they have found suspected murderer Ricardo Pisano after a search went global. Pisano is believed to have killed his former partner Michael Polding, who’s decomposed body was discovered in a Brighton apartment last July.

The Surrey and Sussex Major Crime Team are currently questioning Pisano following his arrest in Southampton.

“There had been an international search for Mr Pisano also known as Ricky, Ree and Brandon Victor Pillay, who has links to South Africa and New Zealand, after he was believed to have been the last person to see Michael Polding alive,” Sussex Police said in a statement.

“He remains in custody at Brighton. The search has included liaison with law enforcement agencies and the public via a dedicated website seeking information.”

In April, Coroner Victoria Hamilton-Deeley returned a verdict of unlawful killing at the inquest into Polding’s death. Though his body was too decayed to clarify an exact cause of death, it was confirmed at the hearing that Polding died with injuries including a fractured collar bone and broken ribs.

British detectives set up the website designed to trace Pisano last December, offering a 5,000 GBP reward for information leading to his arrest.
