Same-sex marriage proposal via flashmob in NYC

In New York, flash mobs happen. On May 11th, Carl Marucci used one to propose to his longtime boyfriend Drew Marsenison in Central Park.

Video below.

“Marucci insisted that his mother bring Drew to Bethesda Fountain in Central Park. Drew had no idea what was waiting for him…” reads the summary posting on YouTube.

Once Marsenison arrived to the specified location in the park, the flash mob began and Marucci joined his boyfriend to watch.

The flash mob performed Christina Perri’s “A Thousand Years.” Once the mob began to come to a close, Marucci took Marsenison’s hand and led him to the middle of the circle, enclosed by the dancers, and popped the question.

“In front of all these people, I’m going to put it all out there. I love you so very much,” Marucci said. “With every fiber of my being. Andrew Francis Marsenison, will you marry me?”

In tears, Marsenison said “yes” as the onlookers cheered.
