Dot-Marie Jones, who plays Coach Shannon Beiste on Fox’s “Glee,” proposed to her longtime girlfriend Bridgett Casteen at Disneyland’s Anaheim Gay Days on Friday, October 5, 2013. This is Jones’s first marriage, and her fiancée’s second walk down the aisle.
The proposal took place, Disney fairytale-style, in front of the Sleeping Beauty castle.
“It’s the happiest day of my life,” the 49-year old Emmy nominee told The Advocate. “I never thought I’d find someone that is so loving and kind.”
Also heading toward the alter is fellow “Glee” actress Naya Rivera, who plays lesbian teenager Santana Lopez. Rivera confirmed with Just Jared that rapper Big Sean popped the question—whose sophomore album, Hall of Fame, climbed to number 3 on Billboard 200. The couple first went public with their relationship back in April at the premier of 42, after meeting on Twitter.
Rivera debuted the glimmering, cushion cut diamond (estimated at a retail price of at least $50,000 at five or six carats, according to Shari Fabrikant of Robert Fabrikant Inc) at the Latina Magazine Hollywood Hot List Party, last week.
