Chance the Rapper Just Pledged $1 Million to Chicago Public Schools

Between Lady Gaga’s halftime show, Beyonce’s Lemonade, and Katy Perry’s recent movement toward “political pop”, we’re seeing a serious trend toward successful artists becoming more than just chart-toppers. Some artists, however, are seriously putting their money where their mouth is.

In the next four years, almost everything within the public sector, from arts funding to the existence of Planned Parenthood, is going to face an uphill battle. Chance believes that a basic public school education shouldn’t ever be endangered.
